August 2021 - Volunteers of the Month - Dakota Dance Association

Updated: Dec 20, 2021

At United Way of Greater Yankton, we strive to change lives and improve our community by mobilizing people and resources to drive strategic impact toward the Education, Financial Stability and Health of our great community.

We believe volunteers are essential in making our community a better place, where all members are healthy, successful and thriving.

Each month we celebrate the power of community volunteers by recognizing individuals who are passionate and dedicated to the organizations they serve, naming them as Volunteer of the Month.

This year during Yankton Riverboat Days, United Way had the opportunity to recognize a group of dedicated volunteers who through their work promote the art of dance in and around the greater Yankton area. For 38 years, the Dakota Dance Association has highlighted the art of dance at not only Riverboat Days, but through our community’s production of the Nutcracker, and through their support and recognition of young dancers though scholarships.

Congratulations and thank you to the Dakota Dance Association Volunteer Board of Directors, United Way’s August 2021 Volunteers of the Month.
