United Way of Greater Yankton and the spark Executive Committee would like to thank the Yankton community for their support and participation of this year’s spark, Connections for Community events.
spark raises awareness of area services and programs and ignites collaboration to address community needs. Each month, community members participated in Community Conversations addressing important topics such as transportation, addiction, collective impact and poverty. Other spark initiatives included Make a Difference Day Coat & Winter Wear Giveaway, Community Resource Fair, as well as an inaugural Poverty Simulation event.
Please note, there will be NO COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS held during the months of JUNE AND JULY. The spark Executive Committee will continue to meet over the summer months planning upcoming events and conversations. Any feedback or topics community members would like to see during our next cycle of Community Conversations can be shared via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. spark Community Conversations will resume in August 2018.
spark would also like to hear success stories related to connections or collaborations made during a spark event, again please share them with us on our Facebook page or via email.
The spark Executive Committee looks forward to continued collaborations being made, addressing needs in the greater Yankton community. For more information, contact United Way of Greater Yankton at (605)665-6766 or visit ww.yanktonunitedway.org/spark
